Waste King Food-waste disposal · your observations
Read the motor-unit label beneath the sink.
A sink name is not always the disposer maker. Give the actual unit reference and its switch, air button or stopper arrangement. Describe humming, stopping, leakage or a changed sound without reaching inside.
A hum replaces normal disposal operation
Stop running the unit and retain the label and control details. A motor or restriction may need assessment. Keep hands and tools out of the chamber and do not order parts from the symptom alone.
A dark panel or an unresponsive control
State whether any display or light remains on. Note a recent power interruption if one occurred. Keep electrical covers closed; an enquiry does not require live testing or measurements.
Where previous work is relevant
Retain any actual invoice or reference and explain what changed afterwards. A returned symptom may need a new assessment rather than the same assumed explanation.
Before ordering a part
Let the actual product and proposed work be checked. A generic fault phrase or a warning from another model cannot confirm a component order or stock position.
The Waste King reference
Retain the complete Waste King label and product ending, with the actual appliance type. A badge can cover different or historical products; it does not confirm current production, parts stock or acceptance of all models.
Discuss the proposed work
Call 0800 037 4915 with the model and sequence of events. Suitable work, charges and a Monday–Thursday appointment are checked for the individual request.
