Waste Maid Food-waste disposal · your observations
Read the motor-unit label beneath the sink.
A sink name is not always the disposer maker. Give the actual unit reference and its switch, air button or stopper arrangement. Describe humming, stopping, leakage or a changed sound without reaching inside.
A hum replaces normal disposal operation
Stop running the unit and retain the label and control details. A motor or restriction may need assessment. Keep hands and tools out of the chamber and do not order parts from the symptom alone.
A dark panel or an unresponsive control
State whether any display or light remains on. Note a recent power interruption if one occurred. Keep electrical covers closed; an enquiry does not require live testing or measurements.
If the label cannot be seen
Use a receipt or manual if you have one and explain which details remain unavailable. Do not pull out, lift or dismantle connected equipment just to complete a web enquiry.
If some functions still work
List the functions separately, including the one that changed. A working light, fan or display is an observation rather than proof that the rest of the appliance is sound.
The Waste Maid reference
Keep the series and ending with the Waste Maid name. The full motor-unit designation and existing control provide a more useful request than the sink badge alone.
