InSinkErator Food-waste disposal · your observations
Read the motor-unit label beneath the sink.
A sink name is not always the disposer maker. Give the actual unit reference and its switch, air button or stopper arrangement. Describe humming, stopping, leakage or a changed sound without reaching inside.
A hum replaces normal disposal operation
Stop running the unit and retain the label and control details. A motor or restriction may need assessment. Keep hands and tools out of the chamber and do not order parts from the symptom alone.
The programme does not reach its usual finish
Keep the selected function and the final stage you recognised. Was there a completion indication, a warning or silence? Describe the last ordinary use instead of repeatedly recreating unsafe behaviour.
Where previous work is relevant
Retain any actual invoice or reference and explain what changed afterwards. A returned symptom may need a new assessment rather than the same assumed explanation.
Before discussing a replacement
Retain the existing unit reference and fitted arrangement. A similar width or brand badge does not establish that a new product is compatible with existing connections.
The InSinkErator reference
Identify the motor unit and its own control. An InSinkErator hot-water tap is a separate product; this route concerns an existing food-waste disposer.
At your Purley address
Give the full service postcode and describe the actual fitted access in Purley. CR8 is a broad postal reference. This guide does not establish a separate branch, service boundary or agreed attendance.
Discuss the proposed work
Call 0800 037 4915 with the model and sequence of events. Suitable work, charges and a Monday–Thursday appointment are checked for the individual request.
