Wastematic Food-waste disposal · your observations
Read the motor-unit label beneath the sink.
A sink name is not always the disposer maker. Give the actual unit reference and its switch, air button or stopper arrangement. Describe humming, stopping, leakage or a changed sound without reaching inside.
A hum replaces normal disposal operation
Stop running the unit and retain the label and control details. A motor or restriction may need assessment. Keep hands and tools out of the chamber and do not order parts from the symptom alone.
A new sound at a particular stage
A buzz at start-up and a scrape during movement are different observations. Note when it begins. Stop using equipment that burns, smokes or moves uncontrollably rather than recording another demonstration.
Where another person authorises work
Agree who owns the appliance, approves charges and provides entry. Keep those arrangements with the service address before a visit is discussed.
If some functions still work
List the functions separately, including the one that changed. A working light, fan or display is an observation rather than proof that the rest of the appliance is sound.
The Wastematic reference
Commercial Wastematic equipment needs an express scope check. Do not treat the name as a domestic Maxmatic equivalent; supply the actual unit and installation details.
At your Sanderstead address
Give the full service postcode and describe the actual fitted access in Sanderstead. CR2 is a broad postal reference. This guide does not establish a separate branch, service boundary or agreed attendance.
Discuss the proposed work
Call 0800 037 4915 with the model and sequence of events. Suitable work, charges and a Monday–Thursday appointment are checked for the individual request.
