For a freezer enquiry: Mention a furniture door, stacked machine, cabinet housing or confined unit where it applies. A description of access helps plan the discussion; do not disconnect or drag equipment out.

Note the alarm, temperature display and where frost can be seen. Leave the ice and lining intact. An alarm can prompt several assessment routes; it does not identify a failed compressor.
