Freezer · your observations
Keep the warning with the visible condition.
Note the alarm, temperature display and where frost can be seen. Leave the ice and lining intact. An alarm can prompt several assessment routes; it does not identify a failed compressor.
A different frost pattern is visible
Say whether frost is concentrated near the door or elsewhere that is already visible. Door sealing or defrost behaviour may need consideration. Do not chip the ice or use improvised heat.
The display gives a message or symbol
Copy every character from the safely visible panel, preserving zeroes, letters and punctuation. A code is model-dependent; an online meaning from another product cannot settle this enquiry.
Before discussing a replacement
Retain the existing unit reference and fitted arrangement. A similar width or brand badge does not establish that a new product is compatible with existing connections.
If the account is becoming complicated
Use three short sentences: the setting selected, the changed behaviour and the final result. Put the model and exact warning alongside them, rather than combining several guessed causes.
