Cooker · your observations
A cooker has several jobs. Which one changed?
Identify the hob, grill or oven involved and whether the appliance is electric, gas or dual fuel. Gas work is considered individually; this is not an offer of gas conversions or AGA repairs.
The grill no longer gives its usual result
Keep the selected grill mode and cavity with the observation. Use only the manufacturer’s normal door-position instructions. Stop using equipment that trips, burns or smells unsafe.
A new sound at a particular stage
A buzz at start-up and a scrape during movement are different observations. Note when it begins. Stop using equipment that burns, smokes or moves uncontrollably rather than recording another demonstration.
Before discussing a replacement
Retain the existing unit reference and fitted arrangement. A similar width or brand badge does not establish that a new product is compatible with existing connections.
If some functions still work
List the functions separately, including the one that changed. A working light, fan or display is an observation rather than proof that the rest of the appliance is sound.
