Smeg Washing machine · your observations
A wet load can tell more than a guessed fault.
Was the drum still holding water, or had it emptied before the spin was missed? Note the chosen wash, door status and exact warning. Those distinctions help frame a washing-machine enquiry.
Water remains before the spin
Tell us whether water is still visible and whether the door remains locked. The pump, drain route or water-level information may need assessment; retained water alone does not prove which one is responsible.
Water or waste appears where it should not
Give the first visible position and what was happening at the time. Do not pull out a connected machine to trace it. Stop use where leakage creates electrical or waste-backup risks.
If the last use was interrupted
Say whether someone cancelled the programme, power was interrupted or the appliance stopped by itself. Those are different starting points; timing alone cannot establish the cause.
Before sending a picture
Check that the display or normal fitted position is in focus and personal paperwork is outside the frame. A useful picture does not require an unsafe demonstration.
The Smeg reference
Retain the complete Smeg label and product ending, with the actual appliance type. A badge can cover different or historical products; it does not confirm current production, parts stock or acceptance of all models.
At your Purley address
Give the full service postcode and describe the actual fitted access in Purley. CR8 is a broad postal reference. This guide does not establish a separate branch, service boundary or agreed attendance.
Discuss the proposed work
